The dots on the square is to help us measure the size. Although,each part may not be the same shape, you can raftly see it using the dots which form a grid square. Now come back to your question, shall we? Mejority were fractions. mminority were NOT fractions. I did not understand why the dots were there either. My mom told me why. From: Cheryl Kho
